Larson Bros. The rebirth of a legend.
The legendary Larson Bros acoustics are steeped in tradition,
appearing some twenty years before even Martin and holding the patents to some
radical build techniques at the time it is easy to see why all instruments built
by the Larson Bros were ahead of their time. In the late 1800’s and early 1900’s
Carl and August Larson of Chicago concentrated on the production of a remarkable
variety and quantity of very finely crafted and innovatively designed
instruments creating a legacy that has long been sought after.
The Larson Bros were among the first to pioneer the flat top, steel strung
acoustics, and their work is unique among pre-World War II guitar manufacturers
as it represents the only non-industrially produced range of flat-top
steel-string instruments that are still widely recognized as being of
high-quality and high monetary value and which continue to be sought after by
musicians as well as collectors for their distinctive tonal quality.
In 2006, one of the most highly respected European luthiers, Roman Zajicek of
Rozawood guitars, and the German product designer Toni Götz decided to go for
the re-launch of the Larson brand.
When building the new Larson guitars, they strictly used the concepts first
utilized by the Larsons about 100 years ago. This means that you will find all
the wonderful little details that set a Larson apart from the crowd.
The result is remarkably fine instruments that offer the typical unique tone of
the old Larson instruments.
Now the legend is set for a rebirth. With a very distinct sound, unique design
and construction features Larson Bros acoustics represent the missing chain
between history and the future of guitar building.
High Tech Distribution UK is delighted to be part of this remarkable story and
have been appointed as the exclusive Larson Bros UK distributor, bringing the
legend even closer to your reality.
